Jute is the second most important vegetable fiber after cotton due to its versatility. It is called the "Golden Fibre of Bangladesh". While jute is being replaced by synthetic materials in many of these uses, some uses take advantage of Jute's biodegradable nature, where synthetics would be unsuitable. It is eco friendly.
Jute is traditionally used in the manufacture of a Rope, Twine and number of fabrics such as Hessian, Sacking, Carpet Backing Cloth (CBC), Canvas and Fine Jute Fabric (FJF). Once upon a time, we considered Jute to use as rope or sack. It is expanded regarding to the passes of time where research is going on cellulose based product like viscose, poly, drinking substance, activated charcoal, medicine etc.
At Present, Jute of Bangladesh has made a strong comeback in the international market thanks to diversification of products made of the golden fibre. Diversified jute products are becoming more and more valuable to the consumers today. We are now producing more than 200 types of diversified jute products.
